There are so many fun things to do here and in this is some of my favorite places! Ireland also has such interesting and unique culture I definitely recommend doing some reading or doing a guided tour to hear about more. I learned so much about the country here and it was super eye-opening.

Food

  • Butlers Chocolate: the best chocolate for very cheap. I love the hot chocolate and if you purchase any hot drink you get a free chocolate with it.

  • Cat & Cage Cafe: went here almost everyday after class. They have great food and bar.

  • Thunder Road: Fun place to get drinks or celebrate a special occasion.

  • Elephant & Castle: great breakfast place

  • Cheap grocery store: Lidel

Bars

Bad Bob's

  • Temple Bar: has a whole row of bars that are really fun. Just be prepared to pay more since it is a very touristy spot.

  • Bad Bobs: my favorite bar here!!

  • MV Cill Airne

  • O'Reilly's: more of a club

Sightseeing/shopping

  • Vintage stores near Elephant & Castle

  • Dublin castle

  • Trinity College

  • Walk along the river Liffey

  • Book of Kells Museum

  • St. Stephan's Green Park

  • Grafton Street

  • Henry Street

  • National Leprechaun Museum: went for class but was so fun and would recommend checking it out if its rainy outside

  • The Spire or "erection in the intersection": also is in the middle of the city

  • Guiness Museum

Other cities in Ireland:

Wicklow Mountains

I took a bus tour here which included a ride there and back, hiking on your own, and information from the bus driver. It was super worth it and about an hour from Dublin. It was so fun and beautiful to walk around in the nature Ireland has to offer.

Cliffs of Moher

I did a trip here with my class. It was so cool and definitely something to do if you are spending

a lot of time in Ireland. It is on the other side of the country from Dublin and about a 4 hour drive.

It only takes about 2 hours to sight see here.

Galway

I did a trip here with my class too. We drove from Dublin to Glasgow which was about 4 hours. We spent one day and night here and then drove an hour and a half to the Cliffs of Moher. Such cool culture here and would recommend doing a guided tour to hear all about it.

Howth

This was about 45 minutes or less from Dublin. Do the catwalk here which is a hike up to the top of the mountain where you can get a 360 view of the town. It's pretty small so you could do this in about 4 hours or less.

Thanks for Reading!
